Hi there, I want to know that is it possible to make the Flash header on a website to work in the same way as a static website i.e. to get the text on the Flash crawled in Google. Is the Flash header an obstacle in SEO or not? Thanks bushib
What nfd2005 recommended is good if you want to use unique fonts on your page that browsers don't support, however I believe that it's intended for static, non-animated lines of text. Bushib I think you want to have a fully animated header with stuff going on in the background, and just include a line of text. To my knowledge, spiders will not be able to read this text since a fully animated header is usually just an embedded .swf file. Really though, as long as the whole page isn't a single .swf document, you'll be able to optimize it and rank on Google no problem. I know this sounds really repetitive, but without knowing the site you want to optimize I can only tell you to make sure your on-page optimization is on point and get backlinks.
lash is certainly a problem for search engines to crawl. It is treated pretty much like images. Using it in moderation is good as it enhances the sites visual appeal and also as action script can provide innovative interfaces for accessing back-end. However it will not get indexed by search engines.
