How well has submitting your site to directories affected your site(s)!

 

It is as if how backlinks can help your sites

 

to have a great popularity on net is one of the big factor to have a great traffic.

 

so far, that is the one of the eaist way of getting backlinks. but the task is very tedious.

 

Directories are the easiest way to build inbound links and maybe had a chance to get traffic.

 

along with all advised also consider to submit articles to relevant sites

 

I've seen pretty good results from directory submissions. Obviously, it's not the only link building I do for my sites, but it is a nice easy way to pick up a few high PR links.

Also, I've noticed that a lot of directories will start off free and then switch to paid once they get higher PR and more traffic. I have a couple of really solid old links on directories that are now paid. Every now & then I even get a few visitors.

 

i agree with this one. directory submission is also one of the impt things in site promotion and attracting traffics to your site.

I think there are many good reasons to do so also. It is very tedious and even gets boring after just doing the 1 submission But I have seen some increases after submitting and not in direct click through traffic... give it a few weeks and search engine results seem to increase a little.
