SEO with .blogspot.com

Is there any specific methods that should use for SEO with .blogspot.com domains. How Google treat them? Can I have high PR like PR9 (I didnt see at least PR8 blogspot blog). Please share your opinion. And are they do follow or no follow?

you cannot get PR9 just by building links. you need to have your blog go viral and get boat load of natural links in order to get that kinda PR. only a handful of sites have PR9

blogspot is one of the products of Google. If you build up your blog using blogspot, it would be indexed by goolge quickly.

 

.blogspot is one of the best blog to get quick indexed. .blogspot is a blog site which you can use in blogging and maybe a blog for your site.

I've seen blogspots up to PR 6. Of course if you put a lot of work into it you can achieve that PR 9 as google treats blogspot blogs like it treats any other website.

If you are going to put that much work on a website/blog, I strongly recommend that you buy your own domain. It is really cheap.

As long as you have a blogspot, you just don't own it, or at least you don't have full control on it.

I used to have a PR 4 blogspot and someday I woke up to find out that it was down because the stupid google bots flagged it for no real reason. All my work gone wasted and they (google) deleted my blog.

Do not do the same mistake and give 10 dollars per year to buy your own domain.

Use blogspot and other free blog platforms to create blogs quickly that will link back to your main blog and improve your PR.

 

blogspot websites gets indexed faster than most blogs because its owned by Google. Google crawls blogspot a lot frequently.
You can use whatever SEO techniques u want to use and still get results like you would get if it were ordinary websites

Thanks everyone again. as @captain1821 says The control over the domain is limited with blogspot domains so I though to reconsider again. The risk of having it deleted if I am out of TOS is high.

 

PR depends on quality of backlinks and there numbers...and as jargonbust said, it is same as a website but .blogspot get indexed early than websites.

Though millions of blogs are built with blogspot you can also get decent results from it. And just like the other blogging platforms, you can also do SEO with it. Just search on some tutorials about how to optimize like adding meta keywords and descriptions on it's theme. Also, a blogspot blog can be a DoFollow or NoFollow. You just have to delete NoFollow. Find for the codes rel=NoFollow on the theme's HTML and delete the word NoFollow, then you now have a DoFollow blog.
