I have finance related background as per educational base. I want to start a blog but as most of the people know that getting link exchange for these sort of sites is very difficult as there are very low website in the area. I heard that article submission to articles directories with link back to your website will help a lot in link building and for SEO. But i am not sure as to should i link to main page or individual pages. Also will i need to put same article on my website as i will submit to articles directories because people says that unique article is necessasry for seo, if i put same articles on my website and on article directories, Google may ban me. Please any one have any solution as i am so much confused.
Before worrying about article submissions, you should just build out your site. I recommend using WordPress and write several high quality posts that will generate interest thus result in inbound links and traffic. Article syndication used to work much better a year or two ago but Google has devalued it now. It's still not a bad way to get your name and articles out there but it won't help your SEO too much. Content is king so build up a strong valuable site and people will find you.
If the article directories are linking back to your site there shouldn't be any problems. Though in general I avoid posting the same article to my blog and to article directories.
I don't think Google will ban on publishing the same article on your site, as well as in article directories. But the same content can rank high for the site of greater value in Google. So if your site is new, Google can give much value to an article site rather than to a link of your site.
Regarding Articule Submissions your really looking to boost you homepage or innerpages in SERP's with the help of the author backlinks. I would strongly suggest you write unqiue content for your blog and not use the same content as the articule submisson, as Google will class this as duplicate content. Note: it doesnt matter if the same articule is used over 100's of different articule sites as might be dupilcate content but your still getting 100's of anchor links back to your site. hope that helps and goodluck with your new site
To avoid posting same article in blog and article directories is better but if do it google will not ban. Linking to any page will not create problem i think.
Article/pr submissions are an excellent way of getting links back to you site, if you choose the right package you can even get some that offer anchortext links, which are the best type.
I strongly suggest that you do not submit articles on your site to directories. Articles on your site should be unique and exclusive. Write articles that are all together only for directory submissions. Just my 2cents.
Don't use the same content for site and article submission, use separate content because unique content only help to increase the user to visit the site.
Hi, why not you try to submit your articles to genuine article sites.google will give much importance to a article site rather than article directories.

I would like to suggest you to submit unique articles in article directories and not repeating the same content. You only should have to submit same content after rewriting or updating an article. This will help you to generate more traffic to your site and also helpful in link building.
