SEO while changing *.blogspot.com to Domain names

Hi Friends,

I have few websites which I started as a blog with *.blogspot.com
Later I bought domains for them and made them websites.

Bangalore-Updates
North Carolina Attractions

I need some help in SEO these sites:

1. I did search engine submissions for them when they were *.blogspot.com
for around 6-8 months. They came up to 5 million rank in Alexa from 16
million.

When I bought the domain, I setup re-diection to the new domain.
Now when I check Alexa rank for the old *.blogspot.com they went back
to 10-15 million. I am not sure why. My guess is google might be taking
my new domains as duplicates since the old blogspot names are there in
many directories and search engines.

Am I correct? If yes, how can I get out of this situation?

And the funny part is if I check bangalore-updates.com in Alexa it has 5 million rank. If I check "bangalore-updates.blogspot .com" it shows a rank of 11 million. Now which one should I trust?

 

If you redirected the blogspot domains then what do you care what the Alexa rank is? And of course it will drop. Keep them redirected and concentrate on the new domains!

 

as long as you use the right redirection process you got nothing to worry about duplicate content

 

when you directed the blogspot to new domain, Alexa rank will change

 

Now there is no traffic to old name ( blogspot extension) as they are redirected to new domain address. So the Alexa rank will be dropped.

 

There is nothing to worry about. You need to wait for some times for results to be changed.
