Seo. What not to do and what i do.

It's really the same as its ever been.... you just have to produce quality stuff and not junk. So, in other words, cut this shit:

> Shit Spun Article Links (aka auto-spun garbage. If you're gonna spin, do it by hand so it's readable).
> Spammy Forum Profiles.
> Spammy Bookmarks (f*$k Pligg/Phpdugg/Scuttle... make legit bookmarks) *BONUS: Also count toward "social proof" that everyone's raving so much about.
> Huge Blog Network Blasts (Don't be stupid. G knows you're playing games when all the sudden you have 1000-2,000 high PR blogs linking to you. Use SMALL blasts.)
> Scrapebox Links (If you've been ignorant enough to use these since '09 you deserve to be de-listed. SB is useful for finding QUALITY places to make links MANUALLY, not spamming the web with "Wow what a great friggin' site! Hope you don't mind me leaving some bullshit, no fucks given crap comment just to get a link! Thanks for that!" comment spam.)

The SAME shit works if you're SMART about it. Don't build 1000s of links at once, don't use shit content, don't spam and don't expect results overnight. It takes a good bit longer to rank these days but if you do things right you can and will get up there. I've COMPLETELY changed my SEO strategies to quality and IT WORKS.

I used to have a borderline sexual relationship with auto-post software getting 1000s of spam links day and night and it worked. But it doesn't now. Well... it does, but only if you use it correctly (all the shit I said above). Besides that... write real content. I've been focusing on well-written, useful content a lot lately and it does wonders. Both for SEO purposes and for the users. My shit gets shared more now than ever.


My current strategy is as follows right from registering the domain.
> Get domain on my hosting.
> Build site (set up theme, pages, add at least some form of content)
> Optimise on-site SEO
> Submit Site Map
> I throw about 300-400 social bookmarks at my site from http://www.mandloys.com/social-bookmarking/ and select to drip feed them. (I have used these guys for a long time, very professional, quick quality service) This will get your site indexed fast.
> Wait about a week whilst continuing to add fresh optimised content. Content must be quality and NO DUPLICATE BULLSHIT.
> After the week has passed I use my own services at Highlinks (Currently have a 10% discount for forum members at http://highlinks.net/discount-packages/ ). I usually start with something similar to the small package for new sites.
> I wait 1-2 weeks and check to see how my rankings are going.
> Now this is where I decide whether to throw another small Highlinks Package at my site or whether I go for the Medium Package. Usually I will go for the Medium package if I have seen good signs and if not I will continue to use small packages for a while.
> After this the process is pretty simple, I pretty much rinse and repeat. Adding new quality content all the time whilst throwing a link package at my site every now and then (maybe once or twice a month).

This is pretty much my standard procedure and seems to work well for me.

Sorry about the links but I feel provider's of services matter a alot with this type of thing. I mean you could go to another provider and get the same thing but you can not be promised the same quality.

Although this works for me more often than not, I can't guarantee it will work well for you. Sure it might have positive effects but I can't guarantee you are going to conquer your niche and keywords because I'm not aware of your circumstances.


Seen so many questions about backlinking etc around here so I hope this helps a few people.

Building so much links at once is always the problem with most webmasters.

 

Yeah but I just decided to post because I see the same questions asked here all the time.

 

For on page optimization you have to take care of some points such as title tag should be 70 characters long, meta description 150 characters and make desciption natural and use your keyword in description tag. Use H1 tag only for one time and use H2 and H3 tag for how much time you want. Add alt tag in images as it will help google to crawl images and in alt tag use your keyword. make use of title tags in Anchor Text.
