What is the best website to go to that will analyze my website. Making sure it is optimized for peak performance in the search engines? Especially for Google.

iwebtool and webseoanalytics have some nice free analyzers. You may want to check out the SEO Starter Guide by Google and SEO Guide on seomoz for what variables play a role in rankings too. There are just so many variables involved, the more you understand about those variables, the better you can do and no scan will tell you that! Good luck!

There is no such tool. The best analysis is done manually.

Depending on someone's tool which is based on their own total wild guesses as to what Google's 200+ ranking factors are, how Google evaluates those factors, and how much each factor weighs in their overall algorithm is pretty much worthless.

Best case, they might be able to evaluate some VERY basic on-page factors which carry little weight in the overall algorithm.

If you want to tell how your optimization efforts are going, I'd suggest looking at how you rank for your URLs' targeted keyword phrases and evaluating/analyzing your web traffic to determine things like which search engines and sites are sending you traffic? Of the search engines, which keyword phrases are sending you traffic? Which URLs on your site are ranking for those keyword phrases? etc. Rankings and traffic are a MUCH better way to evaluate your SEO efforts than using any tool.

Thanks Brad, I'll check them out.

We had a guy come to our office and he had some type of report that graded our website. Than pitched up on what he can do to fix it. Of course, we let him do his pitch and kept it in house. I am looking for a program or site that does the same, something that will grade websites.

Search for "onsite SEO" programs and sites. There are a bunch. WebCEO comes to mind.
