    Hello Dear Members,

I have a question for you...I have 6 month old website in php extention like .php now i would like to move on wordpress. My question is: is it harmful from search engine point of view? isn't it?

    Work Done:

On page work: 20 pages created, Meta tags, xml sitemap.
    Off Page work: Nothing

If i move on wordpress definitely my url's will be change. What i can do for safe from Search engine point of view?

as per my experience with wordpress based websites... wordpress based website will be good as that makes centralized admin for all of your pages without using any FTP tool, easy to handle..

and also you don't have to worry about ".php" extension in wordpress based site also you can use ".php" extension for all of your pages if you dont want to change the URL structure.

and if you want to change the URL structure then you need to make 301 permanent redirection from your old link to new link, so that you will not get 404 errors for any of your pages and in few months your PR and Backlinks for the old Links will also be assigned to your new links.

Moving a site to Wordpress is a good thing. Wordpress is itself based on PHP so no need to worry. As far as the URL change is concerned, there are two things:
    1) If you have your own domain and hosting URLs won't change much. They will be same.
    2) If URLs are being changed, use 301 redirects

    Regards,
    Shailendra

It will not affect at all as you have done any OFF site activities but if site still ranked than you can use 301 redirects...

No it wont affect much , 20 pages are very small amount
And WORDPRESS is very search engine friendly

With wordpress you will have deafult 404 redirect to your WORDPRESS Page, so all your 20 URL's will be redirected
OR else just keep them for search engine purpose if someone hits them and say that go to INDEX of redirect or keep them as it is and never publicize (Link building)

Just go ahead and build your new WORDPRESS , No problem

I think you should restart your website by using wordpress and your old domain. If now you move to wordpress, SEO won't affect much :(

If you use 301 redirects to point to the new page locations, then you'll be fine. Don't do a general site redirect because you'll lower the amount of indexed pages the next time your site is indexed, and you may actually drop some rankings. Use individual redirects for each page. If there's not a lot of pages, then it won't take to long.
