Are you looking for instant traffic? Then go with PPC. If you are looking to build the infrastructure to sustain high traffic with first page position, invest in SEO. But, SEO is both a time and financial investment. If you only have $1000 to invest, you will need to spend a lot of time yourself building up back links, publishing articles, etc.
SEO vs PPC will depend on your goals and your deadlines. If you want mediate traffic PPC is the path to follow but have in mind that many PPC campaigns are a complete failure because you get traffic but no conversions so you waste your money entirely. PPC campaigns are not only the paying for results, its required that you do an exhaustive keyword research & analysis to increase the odds to success. On the other hand SEO will cost you a good sum of cash but you will have a good traffic rate and when you reach Spot 1 of page one of Google for ex. if you chosen the best keywords for your business the conversions will be high and from here they will not cost nothing to get traffic while ppc will require a monthly budget forever until you get a regular returning clients. To me i always prefer SEO to PPC. Regards, Morg.
Thanks Morg for your inputs. Thanks for your valuable inputs. I spoke with couple of PPC Campaign Managers from different companies who asked me to also invest in Facebook, LinkedIn ads for lead generation & brand awareness. Isn't it also possible if I create just Facebook & LinkedIn Pages ? While reading more about this I came across to an article of Matt McGee in search engine land which says about a survey reflects lead generation like this :40%=SEO, 34.2%=PPC & 24.8%=Social Media Marketing Or I need to consider all of these as a start-up business?
Hey! Seo is the bump. If you want to drive traffic in a long run then seo might just be what you are looking.
Each has its own set of positives and negatives and you’ll need to weigh each to make a good decision. The decision you make will depend on what you are trying to accomplish with your website and how you want to appear in the search engines. -PPC’s are very quick to get started, but they cost for every day you run the campaign. -The organic search results campaign will be a long term growth solution that could net you some very solid and steady viewers. The potential for growth here is solid, but it does take time. So, with all that being said, it might be wise to invest in a campaign that incorporates each.
You are welcome, well about social media marketing normally work for specific niches like dating, online games, etc. Regards, Morg
It depend to what kind of your site I think. If your site has lot of competitor with high ranking, It will very hard to do SEO. So your choice is PPC I think. But if you have only few competitor, I think you are waste your money for PPC.
I will go for both if budget do allow . But if we try PPC, $1000 may just a small amount. So if you do not have good Rank in SERP then go for PPC like google adwords if you want see immediate benefit. And you can done your SEO by yourself but time taken .
PPC campaign can't work for you in the long term without SEO. The basic purpose of Search engine optimizations is to make the website search engine friendly, if you are going to spend money on PPC , SEO must be your first step in promoting your website.
Depends on the situation. if im selling short term product, then definitely go to PPC advertising only If those are long term product, then probably i will break down the cost and spend on both PPC and SEO
SEO and PPC both are the part of Internet Marketing. SEO is call organic search and PPC is called paid search. Through PPC you will get ranks in search engines within few minutes and its like your prepaid mobile recharges, once you balance is nill. You will nowhere in the Google. On other hands SEO takes time in ranking 1 month or 2 months or more depend on keyword competition. But the results remain there for long time.
I ill prefer to do SEO because it is not so costly as compare to PPC and i think its the best way of marketting.......
PPC is short term + it involves so much money. So i prefer long term and do SEO myself. It saves my money and once my keyword got ranked they bring a lot of traffic on my site and that's a permanent source. I don't need to pay anything and enjoy fruitful results
