Hello, So far i just concentrate on offpage link optimization for my site (i.e: get link from other site via targeted keyword as anchor text linked to my site). I heard, onpage link optimization also will help our site to get better rank in SEs. Can anybody comment on this matter and show some example how to do this in brief? Thank you in advance. Cheers..
Yes, on-page is also important. You can refer to the official guide by Google on Search Engine Optimization at: http://www.google.com/webmasters/docs/search-engine-optimization-starter-guide.pdf
And you heard right. Not just the content, but also tags that visitors can't see (especially the title tag). Run this free SEO report on your home page for 50+ pages of detailed information, and a lot of useful advice on how to change your content for SEO. I post a lot of Tweets about SEO on my Twitter page. Click the link in my signature and start following it. You'll get access to a lot of information, tools, resources and ideas.
Thanks for info. Just completed reading the guide. Happy to know that almost all criteria been taken care.
If you are getting backlinks with keyword anchor text, matching those words and topic on Page will do you the world of good.
Which meta tags are important for SEO? The keyword and description tags are either completely ignored, or almost completely ignored, depending on who you believe in the industry. Internal link structure is important. I'll agree with you on that one. Or did you mean building inbound links? Also important.
It's a personal pet peeve for me for how many people talk about off-site optimization but completely ignore on-site optimization. Must have good content. Must do your keyword research. And MUST then integrate these keywords into your site effectively.
