I have finance related background as per educational base. I want to start a blog but as most of the people know that getting link exchange for these sort of sites is very difficult as there are very low website in the area. I heard that article submission to articles directories with link back to your website will help a lot in link building and for SEO. But i am not sure as to should i link to main page or individual pages. Also will i need to put same article on my website as i will submit to articles directories because people says that unique article is necessasry for seo, if i put same articles on my website and on article directories, Google may ban me. Please any one have any solution as i am so much confused.
Well, it is always advisable that you use different articles to submit to article directories and puta different version on your website. Regarding banning, i do not think google is going to ban for this.
also what you can do is that there are some article directories where you can just put some excerpts of your articles and put a link there saying continue reading, now when people will click on this they will be redirected to your site to reading the same article in full, one such article directory will provides this service is ezine articles dot com, try it .
If anyone is going to get banned or penalized it would be the article directories for publishing duplicate content, nothing will happen to you.
it is ideal that you submit unique articles to article direcetories. gogle has duplicate content filer and will filter out duplicate URLs with your articles. if you have a new site and have an article posted, if you submit the same article to article directories, google might take a higher ranking article site as original source and deindex your own post. it is wise to submit unique article for submissions and if you submit to lot of article directories, then atleast spin the articles for variations which will give you bettre benefits
