    How about:

    www.mysite.com/2005/honda/accord.html

htm or html - really not difference. Unix had problems with 4 letter extensions whereas Windows - No Problemo! But now unix/windows they handle .html or .htm

I would go for .html and go nearer to the root. Just because I experience crawling faster when it is not too deep.

Are you asking if its better to have a directory with a keyword name? #1 or a html/htm page named with a keyword? #2

Directories with keyword names don't usually hurt but as someone else pointed out your pages are then deeper on your site and you do run the risk of then not getting them indexed so using the page name is much better. (doesn't make a difference if it's htm or html)

However, at the end of the day the CONTENT on the page is what really matters. Do a Google search for "2005 Honda Accord" (or any othe term) and notice that a lot of the results on the first page don't have the search phrase in the page name. So in short it is good but not absolutely necessary.

    Good luck.

Although I said this earlier... this does not differ in ranking once the sites are crawled.

the 2nd one is better. and .html or .htm are all the same -doesn't make any difference at all. I personally prefer .htm -short and sleek

I'm glad I looked at this post. I have wondered about htm vs. html a few times. Good topic!

.htm has 3 letters and it is old. You know all of the files' extension has 3 letters.

.html is brand new and modern. :) I suggest using .html extension so!

    Added:

In fact, creating a directory for only one .html file is not mentally. It is not fair I think. Directory means a list of pages.
