If they know what they're doing, then its not such a hard thing to do, so I'd say it is reasonable. But would have to know what they're doing, and as a customer you have to put in a clause that says only rankings for specific terms counts as the agreement. (the ones you want).

It simply depend on whether they fulfill their commitment or not. If they do it is correct.
    Isn't it simple?

Look main thing is Keyword..if keyword is too competitive then it will take time if not it will come soon..so in my point of view all company want client satisfaction..and they doing as their best..But some company has good technique that's why they achieve his goal very soon.

Good SEO companies do not promise anything! If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

But hire me and I will make your site Guarenteed!

My experience is that most of the ones offering services for high dollar amounts aren't worth it at all. A lot of the services you pay for are just plain cheap and may hurt your rankings.

Right, if you are buying real SEO it will build up your link equity and help you abide by Google's suggestions and guidelines. Creating a good online presence for you business or domain for years to come. If this site you main site you have to be careful about who you hire and check out their previous SEO/link building campaigns and make sure they are up to snuff!

Yes it can be achieved but all depends upon which keywords you chose and how much competition is there.

Actually if you look at the way the'guarantee' is worded, what they are actually saying is that they guarantee they will give you yuor money back if they don't get the result - that's a very different thing to guaranteeing a specific result. In those terms it's a sales pitch, and one that in most cases works out for them - most people using this kind of service won't want to rank for a highly competitive keyword, because it's not a concept they understand. Anyone who has worked with SME's and 'mom and pop' sites will know that getting them to optimise their site for keywords that carry significant search volume, and not their name, can take a lot of explaining.

I feel that if some one giving the guarantee means they are very much sure about the rankings. In this the main thing is time frame. What time frame they needed to deliver the results. So how can the predict correctly they deliver the results in defined time frame?

Perfectly if you have enough confidence or experience to do that you can commit it. Although time frame commitment is difficult if you not having any such big infrastructure.

Look at the time frame they give you, If they say they can do it in 2 weeks then I would avoid them.

If they give a reasonable time frame like 3-6 months then I'd start looking more into their service to see what exactly they are offering and what they will give you.

Depending on the keywords, I'm not even sure 3-6 months would be sufficient.

Yeah if you're going for the big boys, but most seo companies would recommend lower competition keywords that you can realistically achieve to start seeing some decent traffic and then build from there.
