Is there an SEO tool that I could use to check the script on a site to see if search engines are able to crawl through the script/site?

You mean like a lynx browser that shows you what a search engine sees?

Or, what I do is download another browser, turn off javascript support, cookies, plugins and anything additional and then browse the site in question.

 

Dont totaly belive on tools.
