I have tired different kinds SEO techinques. writing articles, blogs, link backs but my site is just not increasing in traddic or page rank. what do u think I am doing wrong?
it could be a number of things but it also could be not enough of what you are doing have you tried a multi submission site like tube mogul or traffic geyser also do you have a video to promote corresponding to your website ?
Tube mogul rocks imo, but yes there could be a number of problems. You certainly need a good link building strategy. I would suggest starting with a pair of mini sites on Blogetery.com and WordPress.com, and then branch out to Ezine/HubPages/Bukisa/Squidoo and see if you can generate traffic. At the minimum, well written articles with quality links should help your page rank a tiny bit. I would also suggest trying to find blogs in your field or in related fields to post on.
How much time have you given it? SEO can take a bit of time, so you can't always expect immediate results.
Consider the sandbox, competition on Google, actual searches performed, SEO can take up to a year before a full effect can be seen. Not to say if you find a low competition niche you can't exploit it or bump up your efforts with big time link building. SEO is all about finding balance and building upon your sites pyramid of worth.
SEO is like pumping a well for water...at first you have to pump hard and fast, but once it gets going you just need to maintain it to get the water (traffic). If you are doing daily efforts then they will pay off in the weeks/months/years to come, just have to be persistent and believe you can do it.
What do you mean by too slow, how long have you been doing it? There should never be a period of 'waiting' for something to happen, you have to keep doing things all the time.

As mentioned by the other forum members SEO takes time... Lots of time. Even if you do make it to page one you can expect your site to move up and down in the rankings until it stabilizes - which can be done by getting better quaility backlinks than the ones you've been getting and with time. Additionally don't just try to get back links to your site... You also need to get back links to your backlinks. For example if you use ezine articles to get back links you can use other "original articles" to get back links to your ezine articles. Additionally in some cases you can also use services such as onlywire that can help to semi - automate the process for you. For furture reference, you may want to be more specific in regards to the time frame that you've been link building. SEO for page one results can vary depending on the competition. In many cases it can take 3 to 6 months or longer to get and sustain first page rankings. That's why it's aways good to have more than just one marketing method for your tool belt. You should consider multiple strategies. Not just SEO. Additionally if you want faster results try shooting for the long tails (long phrases keywords of 4 - 6 words or better). These generally have less competition and should be easier to rank for (generally speaking). Once you start to see results with some long tails that will give you the confidence and the momentum to try for more competitive keywords. Hope this helps.
how long you have been trying? SEO takes time so dont expect anything overnight or within few days. depending on your targeted niche and keyword selection, it might take months before you start seeing some visible result. besides, you need to do things right. article submission is fine as long as you know how to do it best. also, regarding other link building, its the quality of links that matter most so focus on building relevant contextual backlinks. it is a little slow, infact lot slower than PPC, but its also free (if you do it youurself) and proven to work
It takes time to get a good traffic towards your site. Just continue with your marketing techniques which you were doing and you will see a good traffic shortly.
Maybe you site have a great competitive online, that's why you have no succes. You have to fight for a position in Google search that belongs to strong sites with years of experinces in SEO. So, think...
SEO can't be achieved a quick overnight, it needs patience. Having more contents in your site is helping. More contents = more chances to be found. I lost my PR from 2 to 0 and i am sure i didn't do any blackhat stuff, so i have not much worry, but i am excited to create more contents in my blog, and make it better instead of thinking about PR. If you think about it too much, it will only hurt lol, you will have it oneday, just concentrate on your blog
Maybe the problem is your site itself. Usually, link building or off page SEO is not effective if the contents of your website have low potential to get noticed either by Google standards or by the targeted online users as traffic. You should analyze again and research the right structure and contents for your website pages.
seo is real slow. keep checking your SERP's now and then to see which technique is effective and apply it. also try PPC if you want quick traffic and have a good budget.
before switching to offpage (i.e all the things whatever you have done till now) make sure that you have completed with you offpage. Proper planning of keywords and it's placement in content. dedicating niche pages for particular pages if it has good competition and most important you keyword navigation. Check the details i think getting rank is not so tough.
Meaningful SEO results take years to develop. Yes, you can start seeing results in weeks or months depending on your niche and your competition. But results that make the difference between success and failure take a long time, unless you have a lot of time, a lot of help or a special niche that hasn't been exploited much.
