Hi you guys i am still new at seo world.

My best position in google at the moment for a keyword is 9th place. Keyword contains of 3 words. competitors 15,400,000

I have 2 questions regarding seo:

Question #1: Competitor has this url: domainname/archive/keyword
and i have url: domainname/keyword.

If we have lets say same backlinks and same other seo stuff who would rank higher?

Question #2: I am using a wordpress site for my movie site: I see many sites have domainname/watch-movies-online/ but in wordpress you have also the option to use url without the hyphens between the words. Which one is better for seo?

what do u mean same backlinks, quality wise or quantity wise in numbers. For everything to be same both domains will have to be one domain. SERPs are relative rankings.

 

Quality and quantity wise , its just an example.

Just need to know which domainname one has more relevance

 

Well if everything is same than they will have to be side by side in google unless you have not considered age of domain and age of backlinks. Most people forget about age of backlinks or don't think it affects at all so if this be the factor left out than the site with older backlinks should rank higher.

 

I think it is time for you to do the link exchange. That will definitely improves your traffic of the website. It is the best way to do a lot of things in a quick manner in improving your website. You are also trying your level best in doing the angela back links for your site. That is the best way to increase your keyword among the various competitors.

 

So what is that "angela back links" thing,

does anyone here use it or not?

And does it worth the cost, and time...?

 

I would prefer domainname/keyword as search engine crawler will not required to go more and more deeper and for your word press site i would prefer to use hyphen format as hyphen will look more convenient to SE and User as well.

i think the best way is : if we can buy the great domain same with the keyword..
sample i bought hairprotection.info last month, and if you search use " hair protection info" you will find my blog on the top of 46.000000 competitor..

 

make sure that you are linking to the same niche

stick on your niche and make sure u r linking same niche. dont put effort of many niche, stick on one or two.

For Wordpress Get the plugin All in one SEO or something. It will help you a lot with onpage SEO.

Also you need more backlinks. What PR is the competitor?
