According to me I would like to share few SEO that people always commit while performing SEO techniques and they are:
    • People at the time of doing SEO do not perform proper keyword research for their business. Keywords are so important in SEO and you need to do keyword analysis before optimizing your website for a particular keyword.
    • They write copied content.
    • Many of them do not update their website on a regular basis. This should be done regularly.
    • It has been told several times that not to add flash content on the website, but still many add on their website.
    • Try to add the keyword in the tags, this will be beneficial for the website, etc.
In order to get proper result consult with the specialists in SEO.

Hi, Nice reply, I agree keywords have to be right before doing any SEO. But do you think a little bit of flash e.g. a slideshow will be fine?

I've been a big fan of Youtube videos lately as part of my SEO strategy. People love watching and sharing videos AND they give my sites a good bump up in the SERPs.

Videos are better for sales, making that money, than ranking. Also great for traffic.

Treat your site(s) as if they are discussion starters.

Become an authority by constantly adding breaking news and developments.

And, the thing no one wants to hear: You have to know how to build links.

    Hey Ryan,
I am completely agree with you. To get ranking on SERP. We should have to get quality inbound link and that should be Do-Follow. According to me just do Guest posting on Good PR & DA website, Bookmarking it and do some SMO, Blog commenting etc.

But we have to care about category that have to relevant. If we will get link from Same niche website that would be far better.

"How To" videos and tutorials are very popular. And yes, they do help considerably with ranking your site. Google owns and loves Youtube and now more than ever are they starting to reward those who create/use YT videos (as well as their other products eg. google+). A good example would be a site a created just over a year ago in the UFC mixed martial arts niche. I spent 3 days posting popular UFC youtube videos and writing a grand total of 3 blog posts for the site. I haven't touched it since. Even better, I didn't even bother creating backlinks to this site since I created it! Right now, this site consistently ranks on the first page of google for a fairly competitive keyword/s I chose - some days I see well over 1000 uniques to this site, the best day being just over 5000.

Just goes to show that SEO is not all about backlinking : )

Matthew Woodward recently created a site using no backlinking strategy whatsover as a test to see if backlinking was necessary for rank and traffic. The results so far are pretty amazing. You can check out his site and traffic stats/earning here: http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/

Lots of very useful SEO info on his site as well!

For new site, SEO Onpage + social media will be great. After the site 3 months and get at least 50 UV per day, and then start to do link building.

    Check out this infographic: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/15/37/b8/1537b83773d7d32ba82424f176004caf.jpg

My tip will be to post UNIQUE content 3 to 5 times per week with 300+ words on your blog and then do Social Bookmarking (with unique title and description in TOP 5-10 SB sites!) :)

I'll elaborate on this from my perspective of creating content in the adult affiliate business. I write blog posts for scenes and sites on behalf of clients to help them sell memberships, so you can imagine that there's a greater use of media. This can often cause a problem for affiliates because they still need good text to accompany the media - that's what I do.

While it's certainly true that content should be written for the Human visitor, it's still a necessity to have a more in-depth post or page with enough text to accompany that media. In my business, people would argue that someone looking for adult content is seeking images and videos, so the text is almost irrelevant. Obviously, affiliates still need to add text for both the reading visitor and Google too.

Format of the post is important here. The blogger doesn't want to scare the adult surfer with a wall of text, most will only skim that before looking for the images. But at the same time you need text to describe the content for Search Engines, and to provide more than your competition does. The best solution I have found is to provide a short piece of text at the top of the post or page, giving a brief overview of who is appearing, and the primary theme of the scene, then add the media to display the content, then continue at the bottom with a more comprehensive description which helps both the interested reader and Google. It's almost added as an optional extra for the Human visitor, but is also a needed aspect of content for search engines.

This format allows increased text content for search engines, while not putting off the surfer looking for images. Everyone gets what they need from the post.

I feel that this shows how important layout and formatting is. You need to provide what the visitor wants, while also meeting the needs of a search engine and those who might want to read more.
