These tips are great! I dind't know I was following most of the rules

 

If you are submitting your site in a directory whose pr=0, it will never harm the site pr. i have tried this many time, i had submitted one of my site in directories whose pr=0. and i got unbelievable result. so don't forget n go ahead.

 

Make your site friendly for users.

 

your forgetting the most important one - when you submit your links to directories etc,, wtite a unique description each time, so search engines see it as a genuinne vote not promotion spam

 

i would like to add, do not do keyword repetation in onsite factors
