7. Find authority sites in your niche and get links from them also
8. Get links from various IP Addresses
9. Get links to your home page to other pages as well(deep linking)
10. Get permanent links as much as possible
11. Think about users perspective than search engines
12. Distribute an online press release about your site
13. Get links from non bad neighborhood.

This is all so vague it's just pointless, particularly

so that's 'websites' basically. Great advice, I'm sure some 'newbs' were trying to get links from elephants before they read this

 

thanks for sharing but would suggest to first serve to your users then go for search engines ;-)

 

You can optimize on long tail keywords. That´s a strategy.

If you have to use this method, it means the methods above simply don't work

I'm sure you can add some more onpage and offpage SEO related steps.
Feel free to skip step 4 as well.

 

I love the last point about targeting less competitive search terms.

 

It is some kind of tactic for sure...but I am sure it falls under SEO...

 

lol, its pushing it a bit to call it an "seo tactic that works"

So you can start out targeting "buy viagra"
then "buy viagra online in usa"
then "buy large viagra next day shipping in somalia"
then once you rank for that you say you are a successful SEO


I do understand some people are targeting terms they can't rank for and they should target other ones first, but its a huge stretch of the imagination to give in or deliberately target weak search terms then call it a success.

Nice list though. My additions are:

1. Quick social bookmarking.
2. Use domain leeching from big names like wordpress, blog.ca, blogger etc..
3. choose a kw and focus the page on it.

A kw phrase can be targeted and written and indexed in Google within 24 hours.

 

15. hack a wp blog and imbed links @_@

 

Targeting the right keywords is the most important part of SEO IMHO. I get loads of traffic from non buy kws but most of my sales come from the smaller ammount of highly targeted kws. That's exactly why people are paying upwards of $10 per click on adwords.

 

I've been using some of them... Thanks! but can you give me more tips in SEO? i barely need them.
