SEO Tactics' Priority

    Hello All,

    I want to do SEO for my site.

    I know lots of SEO tactics but i could not set priority to apply all of them.

    I want to do SMO, link building, article writing, blog posting etc...

    I have also started blog on my site as well.

    I would put content as priority 1. Everything else is wortless if your content doesn't cut the mustard.

    - Site Structure e.g. interlinking to other pages (Keep the code clean)
    - Title tag

    Theres all the obvius stuff, its actually quite a difficult one to be honest. I would agree with the above and st get your content sorted out first based on your keyword research.

    Here's what I do...after the content is in place of course.

    1. Free directory submissions. -- easiest way to get some links
    2. Finding other sites and asking for a link. -- most bang for the effort
    3. Forum and blog posting. -- i enjoy participating...and might get something for it
    4. Social bookmarking - when i have something unique to contribute -- i don't do it a lot because the traffic doesn't convert much
    5. Article submission -- good way to get back links, but a lot of effort -- if your articles are good you'll get some back links

    As you would know, search engine optimization entails on-page and off-page activities. Start with on-page activities and do this in tandem with off-page activities. After you are finished with the on-page bit (though you would be required to carry out periodic tweaks) you can devote full time to off-page activities.
