    To support the widest possible audience, you might want to re-think your need for Flash and switch to HTML.

    Absolutely false and Google has been doing reading for years. However, flash sites leave a lot to be desired as far as SEO is concerned.

    There are ways to make flash indexable but it's not advisable to build full sites in flash, examples are:

    1) Load speed is dramatically increased
    2) Iphone, Ipad and some other mobile devices cannot display flash.
    3) The indexable content by Google is limited and would perform (seo wise) poorly compared to a non flash site.

    Use flash for animations etc but leave the website building to proper coding techniques.

    only reason i can think of is that flash sites look more nice which is important in few areas. but still why having a web site if no one will see it?

    For SERPs of a flash based website you've to work more harder as compared to non-flash based website...

    Search engine is not the only source of traffic. There have many sources for receiving targeted traffic. The owners of those sites knows this. On the other hand with flash very attractive site can be made. For awesome and unique design people use flash.

    dont use more flash in your site it will decrease your site loading speed search engine crawler did not wait and crawl flash sites. flash websites are not seo friendly website so avoid flash.

    Flash is not good for SEO ....but there are ways to get over that ... A text on site a html version of the website stuff like that ...

    still in debate.. but better if you do a Flash Optimization.. Title of the flash, ALT Text, then submit the flash page in google webmaster to validate..
