I have been reading this forum and on the internet about SEO, It seems like some people are able to rank high on google very quickly. I have been trying to improve my site for several months and It seems like I may be doing something wrong. Here are some statistics. Creation Date: 2/12/12 website: http://www.cerebellumstrategies.comunique posts: 42 update frequency: I write two new unique articles every weekend. pageviews per day: 50 -100 on average Google PR: 2 Google Index: 80 - 100 Google Webmaster Links: 720 Google Webmaster domains: 65 Google Index: YES Bing Index: YES Technorati: YES Technorati Authority: 100 - 107 Twitter updates: YES Facebook Updates: YES LinkedIn updates: YES Alexa: YES Alexa Traffic Rank: 4,101,584 Ad CTR: 0.03% Linking - I add 10 to 30 links a week. I have a few questions based on these numbers: 1.) Google Index and Technorati never seem to go up significantly, yet my Alexa score has consistently improved. It doesn't make sense unless Google and Technorati are penalize me or value different things. 2.) Ad CTR - Is it high or low? How do I improve it? 3.) Blog Subscribers - I have over twenty blog subscribers. How do you get greater participation? 4.) Plugins - Am I using the right plugins for SEO?All in One SEO Pack Do Follow Easy AdSense 5.) Release Schedule - I write and publish two articles on the weekend and then promote them on social sites on monday. Is there a better schedule?
Thanks for the response Michael. I think the semantics errors are in Wordpress. The only html I use are built in, with the exception of h1 and h2. I am going to change h1 to h2 on most links. ad CTR - I will have to look at how to improve that.
