Hi, I have just started my site : http://www.heatedmouse.com/ Can you guys please send me your valuable suggestion to be #1 for following keywords Heated Mouse Warm Mouse Thanks Dhvanit
i don't think you would find it hard to optimize it for heated mouse keyword. because the site has great domain name. best of luck to your ecommerce site.
first you need to finish your on-page otimization, (need strong optimization). then u need to get backlinks for your website. try to opitimize whole links not only home page. you can get high rank for your 1 keyword because you have it in your domain then 2nd is also easy to get high rank fot it.
try to get some quality backlinks to your website such as yahoo answers do-follow blog comments social bookmarking service forum signatures and posting and so on
I would advise you to make a hard research and make a list of the keywords in your industry that do bring high traffic and then you have to target and try to rank better for these keywords. Search engine ranking of the website will improve by properly doing the SEO activities like high PR directories submissions, social bookmarking, article submissions, press release, blog commenting and also join some forum posting sites. These will increase your ranking in Google and also will boost your traffic.
Depending on the keywords for which you want to get high rankings, you have to employ different tactics. Keywords with less competition require different tactics than keywords with high competition. The keyword should be simple and user-friendly. The description must be keyword rich format without stuffing. You must check these things before select any KW # Your website niche # Target audience # Search Volume # Long tail or shorter KW
To get the keywords at #1 position rigorous effort are needed on regular basis...the keyword density should be appropriate, the content should be optimized and relevant to the need of the site, the site should be attractive and should have a simple, authentic look.
The page title and Meta description are an opportunity to get a clear sales message across to a client, so just filling it with keywords won't look right and will deter some potential customers. Firstly I would change your Page Title and try to get it under 65 Characters making it a message containing targeted keywords! At present it is 115 character so way too large to be displayed fully. Secondly I would suggest changing your Meta description, at the moment it is 318 characters which is way too large for the search engines to display and any social media sharing will not work either. You should try to make sure that your meta description sells your product well, carrying a good, clear sales pitch to attract the customer onto your site. I personally like to keep below 140 characters for Meta Description so that Google displays it fine and Social media sites like Twitter & Facebook will carry the message fully. These won't help you to get to number 1 on Google but like the other guys said, Your URL and on-page content should achieve high rankings anyway, what I'm suggesting should help people to choose your site over others when you do rank high.
The Order and Proximity of The Keywords Matter. Write a sentence or phrase that contains both the terms and have those terms in close proximity. Google works by tracking incoming links from other pages, but it's not necessarily the quantity as it is the quality. Google assigns each web page a PageRank. Basically the PageRank can be 0-10. It is better to have a few links from PR10 sites than a ton from PR0 sites. The PR of incoming links also plays a major role in determining your PR. Building your PR is very challenging and often people resort to link farms, but this only lasts a while because eventually Google recognizes a link farm for what it is and penalizes its PR. Your best bet is to build a quality site with original work that people will apreciate. It comes down to "if you build it, they will come." Another thing you should do is make sure to put in these keywords in your Meta tags. Thats another big thing to do.
You should start an article marketing campaign after you have finished your on site optimization. You can write articles for related keywords to gain some click through traffic, then use anchor text in your link to boost the popularity in the search engines for your site for that anchor text.
It you are targeting a good SERP then you should concentrate on building some quality backlinks for your site. The more the backlinks to your site the higher the chances for you getting a higher position in Search Results. One good thing that you can do intially, is study your competitors backlink and then proceed to target building backlinks from those sources as well.
it is actually not hard. only 3 million results in Google. But is anyone searching the keywords heated mouse or warm mouse?
