I'm working on a new site. It's now up and running, but I still plan on adding lots more in the near future. I'm fairly new to SEO, but think I have a decent idea of what to do. Looking for some additional input on all aspects of SEO. I'd like to get a decent pagerank and a good ranking on the search engines soon to get traffic into the site. I'm thinking of adding a line across the top of each page (above the logo and advertising) that reaffirms the keywords for that page. Is that a good idea? Thanks for some input http://www.snowcommunity.com/
For a brand new site if you want traffic from search engines right away then you have to do it with MSN and Yahoo. To get traffic from them through rankings just work on your URL and Titles to begin with.
The font could be larger. For SEO if your kewords are 'Ski & Snowboard Community' which is your alt for your logo you can wrapped you image with <h1> tags, it should help.
mentioning keywords at three spots in a page is a way for getting indexed for your site keywords. use your keywords at top , in middle and at the end of the page for best solutions.
Yes the body text. I got the <h1> trick on seochat. I would say yes, my site recently rise in SERPs since i did it, but there was also that Jagger thing screwing with search engine results.
