SEO? Submit article to Directories or Blog Networks.

There are many services on DP that offer article submission to blog networks in which you can get hundreds of backlinks for your website. You write the article and they submit it to 500 + blogs with links going back to your website.

What is considered best for SEO marketing over the long term? Submitting my article to the top 10 article directories or submitting my article to blog networks.

Most article directories are a lot more established than some blogs put together for the purpose of selling posts.

So submitting your article to the top 10 directories in your opinion is better then if you submitted the article to 500 Blogs with 3 to 4 links going back to your website?

Does providing the link in the resource box in a article directory still count as equal the quality of a backlink then if the link was in the body of the article?

A contextual link is nice because it's in text which means it's focused on your niche. On the other hand the top 10 article directories have WAY more authority than any of the 500 blogs that Google probably doesn't visit often.

I would go for the article directories - this is just my personal opinion and what works for me.

Thanks for your advice. Im going to submit to the article directories. In the resource box on say a article directory like ezinearticles.com, lets say im trying to increase my ranking for the keyword "watch tv online"

Will using HTML code for that keyword in the resource box at the bottom of the article help improve the ranking for that particular keyword?

I usually use HTML for keywords im trying to target on my blog within the body of my article, but with article directories, you have to use it in the resource box.

Yes use the anchor text you want to rank for in the search engines and I'm glad I could help.

I will vote for article submission, because article submission can bring you not only backlinks but also traffic.
