Ok, so the ad is all over DP today. I had never heard of SEO Studio before. Is anyone here using it? If so, what do you think? Is it worth the $79?
I don't think it's worth $79, or any amount of money. Learning SEO is free. Reading webmaster forums and use Google. There's a ton of information out there, and it's always changing. The only reason to pay for an SEO package/ebook is if you haven't got the time to do the searching yourself.
Learning SEO is free - Time is not There are many people that would MUCH rather either pay someone to do it for them, or at least a program to make it easier. I think we live in a bit of a bubble here in the forums and in our techie circles. I mentioned something about my work to a friend and was completely deflated when they responded.."So like if you search on MSN its not the same as searching on Google...?"
At first glance it appears to be a management/reporting tool, not a "learning" tool. Azakers - I'm convinced that 99% of the general population would have a hard time naming the 3 major search engines if you asked them.
If you mean http://www.trendmx.com ... I haven't used the product, but I am familiar with the owner of the business on a "business" basis. He is really DEDICATED to his product and he was always very honest and reliable in our business dealings. I think he offers a FREE TRIAL if I remember correctly? Cheers, Mike
Yes, that's the company. Here's the exact url: http://www.trendmx.com/website-promotion-optimization-software/website-promotion-software.aspx
I figure that if someone has the skills to navigate to digitalpoint and ask this question, they've also got the skill to dig around google and read some more. But I do agree, an techno-illeterate business owner would find the product more useful.
Honest, hardworking and, been around improving his product, day in, day out for YEARS means a lot. Again, my business dealings with him have been very positive. We have never personally met and I'm not an affiliate... I just think it's as important to tell positive stuff about those you deal with as it is to "report the bad stuff." Mike
Yea, I did. You can get great input here at DP that you can't get by "googling" things. I don't want some prewritten canned testimonial - I want opinions/comments from the community. Your first response lead me to believe you didn't have any idea wht the product was and were just commenting for the sake of commenting. Mike - thanks for the comments - that's exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.
What do you think about Advanced WebRanking ? It was higlhy recommeded, but I want to hear some opinions before I buy it. I didn't have the chance to test it, but I've seen some screenshots with its generated reports and they were looking pretty damn good. Anyway, I'll wait for an AWR experienced guy to share his opinions with us.
SEO studio kind of sucks, maybe it would better if I could get it to update or take the time getting a new one. The ranking reports are 50% accurate if that
I've heard about it but I was very disspointed ... I've tried AWR and it is a very good tool for me. I haven't bought it yet ... but I am strongly considering doing it. Did you guys tried it ? I want to see other impressions please ...
I don't understand the whole "read a book" mentality when it comes to search engines. It is a fast past business that consistently changes.
You are perfectly right but there are some things (some of them very important too) that didn't change over time. Just my 2 cents ...
