    Friends,
    Let me describe my problem
My website ( as you see in signature ) was ranked well on google for 40-50 keywords till feb 2010.
suddenly the keyword ranking dropped one day in march and never returned.
I am not sure of the problem. I talked and discussed to various people in webmaster forums, applied few things from suggestions but all doesn't work, its been 3 months since i have lost ranking. looks like google has punished site well and it wont get it back to its original position.

Now let me describe what i wish to do
I want to stop doing seo to my current site and start a new site, new domain, new hosting and all new content with same company name but with .in domain.

    Need advice
is this something should be done, to leave old alone and start fresh with new site, so i can get leads from my site? or I should find issue in old site and resolve it.

You've built up a good number of links already for this site, so for me it would be difficult to just walk away from it.

There is a difference between a drop in rankings and a penalty from Google. A drop in rankings can be fixed by building more links, more relevant content and fine-tuning your on-page SEO. A penalty is different - you'll need to assess what you have done to violate Google's guidelines and fix the issue, be it remove spammy links to the site or any other issues that Google frowns upon.

If you are appealing to customers in the US or UK rather than India, there are two issues here. One is that it would be better to opt for a .com domain name (not sure why you are thinking about .in). The other is that I think you should get a native English-speaking person to proof read and perhaps rewrite some of your content, especially the content on your first page. You also need to think about breaking this down into manageable chunks - there's just far too many paragraphs under the heading "Web Development Company". People need to be able to tell at a glance what it is you can offer them, without reading 100s of words of text.

A drop in rankings is a lot easier to deal with than having to start from scratch. Maybe if you provide some more in-depth information on how exactly your rankings have dropped and for which keywords, people may be able to give you some further insights into this.

I was ranked in top 20 for web development company keyword
i was in top 10 for offshore web development
i was in top 10 for custom web development india keyword
I was in top 10 for facebook application development
top 30 in software development companies

lot more are now not at all listed in top 100.
if it was to be dropped.. i might have been dropped for few keywords, why for all.. that is the matter of worry.
