SEO Strategy for a new Website completing against established websites

    it is hardly an one month old website and completing against websites which are online from at least 8-12 years. the main keyword has competition around 25,800,000 in Google. What should be our ideal strategy for this website?

    The same as for any website. On page optimisation, links and anchor text, and (importantly) ingore most of the "advice" given here!

    Very much true. You will hear many suggestions about keyword density, meta keywords, etc etc. Turn on your mind filter :)

    Also, the competition doesn't really matter a lot. What's matter is the amount of searches of your target keyword. If a keyword isn't popular - the competition is weak, even if Google shows 25 millions pages. On the other hand, highly popular requests may have not too much competition (say 3 millions results only), but it is 10 times harder to fight your way into top10, because all of these competitors struggle for every single position.
