I currently have Link Machine and was thinking of paying the $60 to upgrade for the all of the SEO goodies. Is it worth it or should I purchase SEO Elite? If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.
I don't know much about Link Machine, but I really like the new version of SEO Elite. Try the demo download for yourself.
It's a reciprocal linking software. I only have the base version which doesn't do much in the way of SEO. They make you pay for the upgrade. The upgrade version can give you more relevant links and analyze anchor text, etc.
and I do vice versa - I highly recommend NOT to use SEO Elite! I used it and there were more problems than benefits with this soft. Really. It is harmful not only for SEO but also for your mental health. Every time I start it up I find a new annoying bug and their support has a habit not to answer direct questions. This is the most awful software and support team I have ever seen!
I have built a software that has most of the functionalities that the other non free tools have, my tool is for free! Please feel free to use it. It can monitor all the SEO related indications like: pagerank, positions, # of referrers, keyword density, analisys of main referral links and more. Here is a sample image:
SEO software is not needed to do SEO. There are some individual tools that help alot (Xenu, Optilink, SEO toolbar for Forefox, Dreamweaver), but you really should not be using an expensive SEO software package. They will just cause more problems than needed and will never replace your own idea of what is best for your site in terms of relevancy. That's just my opinon.
This has come up before and even though SEO Elite isn't bad software (it comapres quite well against the others, in its specific range of functionality, link building) I just can't stand the late night infomercial ron popeil style hard sell that Brad Callen does. Every time I go to the website I feel like I'm going to come away with a timeshare and a brand new set of knives. "He" (his spam bot) sends me at least one email a day after signing up for the SEO Elite trial version. Here's yesterday's gem (url's deleted): First of all, he throws in his wife's pregnancy in a mass mailing. Second of all, since he's my special buddy, he's totally going out on a limb to give me access to this seminar!!! He repeats the link three times, and pitches it just as hard as his "make easy money from your home" software. My overall impression is that this guy is not concerned with anything other than making the sale (any sale) and that regardless of how good the software is (it's not bad) he really doesn't care about anything once he gets your money and can move on to the next sucker.
Hrm, this feature(number of indexed pages) is going to be added within the next few days. But I already have keyword density, positions in yahoo and Google, referrers analysis, pagerank and number of referrers on Yahoo and Google.
I'm going to recommend Web-CEO as well. I used to use SEO Elite, but then upon really checking out what Web-CEO does, it's heads and shoulders above SEO Elite. The only pretty cool thing that SEO Elite does that Web-CEO doesn't is create link pages automatically. Which is pretty cool when emailing for link exchanging. However, all in all Web CEO is heads and shoulders more advanced. My thoughts, you'll outgrow SEO Elite once you start using Web CEO. BTW- My clients love the professional reports I can send them with Web CEO. And the best part it's on automatic, I don't have to mess with it. M
Yep, yesterday I have got 3 (three!) e-mails from Brad, he is probably going to be included in the Guiness book of records for the amount of everyday spam
