That's not correct. You can't say software is harmful. It's the way you use it that might get you a penalty. If you want to win the SEO game you have to be efficient and that means you must use software applications. Be smart, code your own software tools and use them properly. I promise you will never have problems with Google
Just don't abuse the software. If you think google wouldn't like it, you're probably right. But there's nothing wrong with automating seo tasks.
