Something doesn't sit right with me with this thread. I have been watching the logins...I posted my comments about the IP earlier and then aquasparkle signed in and was reading my post...Then he signed out, ant signed in seconds later and posted that his wife made the other bid and signed out and less then 10 seconds later aquasparkle signed back in and posted again.

I may get a bunch of red for "ruining a sales thread" but the whole thing seems fishy. If the OP wants to PM me and clear the air then feel free. If my bat sense is off I will make a full apology.

 

And it should be noted that we will eventually get to the bottom of this.

 

Well I can guarantee that nothing fishy is happening on my side of things. I use 2 computers. One at work and one at home. Right now I'm at work. This should be evident to any board supervisor who has access to logs or whatever vbulletin has to offer. If there is any history of my activity you should be able to see that I am constantly in and out of the board from both locations depending upon the time of day. I log in to the various boards a lot every day. Probably more than I should.

I can also state that I do not know anyone that is bidding on this site.

Crazy_rob, I'm not sure what there is to get to the bottom on but I'll help in any way that I can.

I appreciate that. In the future it might have been best to handle any initial questions through PM. I'm not sure what the procedure is but it sure feels like my sales thread has become a little tarnished.

GeorgeB, I think you may have confused something. As far as the bidders I cannot state who knows whom. I can state that I do not know anyone that is bidding on my site.

They're semi-educated guesses at best. To me they're all but worthless. I don't check them, and I don't go by them when people try and sell sites based on 'predicted' PR. I suggest you don't either.

 

I would agree. It's a total guess based upon a variety of datacenters. With that said I've had many sites meet or exceed the estimated pagerank. I tihknk if anything it could be used as a barometer for the direction a site is headed. Of course we could always start a nice debate about whether PageRank even matters
