SEO -- site listed as malicious

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by nylawgroup, Jan 5, 2011.

A few visitors to my site said their virus checker blocks my site as possibly malicious.

    1. Does this effect my ability to get ranked for SEO?
    2. How do I fix the issue? an SSL certificate?

    My site is www.newyorklawyersgroup.com

    Thank you.

your visitors may be right. Google will tell you if your site has a virus on it in their webmaster tools and in their search results. I am not about to visit your site and potentially get a virus to check it out. They will remove your site from the serps temporarily until you fix it.

If your site has been hacked, you need to change your ftp info, change your db passwords, and revert to a saved backup copy of your site. Also, reformat your computers hard drive because you probably have a keylogger installed.

Submit your site to google webmaster. They will correct it. Perhaps a malicious tag is uploaded on your site. Check your page, if iframe tag is running on your site, delete instantly.

might be a misreport. But however, your site is very slow, too many JS files, try combine them or remove them at all.
