Hi, I have a strange SEO issue. I don't want to use my real URL so here's an example of what's happening. I have the same business and name (spelling is one letter off) as another person. We are also both located in the same city. Example: "harryberg.com" is my domain / hosting account "harrybirg.com" is also my domain / hosting account since people often spell my name wrong so I purchased this. "harrybirgcarpentry.com" is someone else's domain If people search "Harry Berg", my site shows up. But if people search in google for "Harry Birg" (not the spelling of my name) - Google shows them my competitors site first (harrybirgcarpentry.com) and my site second (harryberg.com). If they search for "Harry Birg Carpentry", it shows my competitors site first. Is there any way to move my ranking ahead of his? Any options? I'm sure people are confusing us since we live in the same area and do the same type of work. This is a big problem since 90% of people spell my name right. Thanks so much!
your website is ranked for the keyword "Harry Berg". try to rank your website for "Harry Birg" because your "friend" is ranked better for this keyword. and if you outrank him for "Carpentry" keyword, you know, you rank for it too, you're gonna be fine. cheers!
