I'm interested to see what the size of the demand for seo services market is currently. Does anyone know of any good articles or resources that have done studies on the subject?
Demand is bad.. do not get in this business... Just kidding.. It all depends on how much you know and how well you do.. I do not have a demand problem.. I only have a problem to extend my SEO service capacity...
I think the market for SEO services is massive. Its just not that well known about. (yet) The service needs some serious promotion ideally on TV, Radio and Business magazines.
I believe the SEO market is already too crowded. I thought of creating myself a SEO blog, but promoting it and generating some revenue would have been far too money & time consuming to even bother, considering the competition. Also, almost every web design and development business offers SEO services as well, so you'll have a small disadvantage if you plan to only offer SEO services.
Branding is important in this niche, which can be acquired by quality testimonials and serps of your own seo site to prove your own quality.
Amit i believe the serps of your client sites would be more important than your own sites, because i know a few well known seo companies that outsource seo work even on their own site.
seo is a great market. as long as internet and search engines stays , seo will continue to become a great market
You are also right in one way since 7 seo companies have got decent serps for their own company but they outsource their work to us
The field is not too well-defined, so it's hard to come up with a number to indicate its size. Web advertising (which includes SEO) is huge and is on track to overtake print advertising.
