Same things happened with me, I have paid for £200 ($400) worth of work on my website.

I kept sending emails to see the progress and tried contacting through msn with no reply now hes not appearing on msn at all or replying from his website contact form.

Yes it seems he has had personal problems but i dont feel you should neglect business and everyones money invested in your services on this basis, I have opened a dispute on paypal and he has not responded to this either.

So based on the fact i see theres others with the same issue i can openly say hes scammed plenty of us for our money without offering the services promised....

i want a refund as the services i paid for were not done and neglected instead.

I'll be happy to go to Trading standards regarding his website if i dont recieve a refund.

 

Can I see any of your projects you've already done ?

 

I too have opened a paypal dispute.
The fact is he's not done any of the work. He said he outsources a lot of it so I don't see why it's not been done in over 2 months.

he Began work on it and i actually got on with Stephen really well, hes a nice guy. Which is why im quite surprised.

I have no idea how much work was done but pretty much nothing. I paid for 25 hours worth of work and he told me he would get me on page 1 on google for certain keyterms....i saw them move up one page for about a day then nothing ever happened since, i reckon he began work on it then just dumped it.

This is the reason i said to him i didnt want to pay $400 upfront when i wasnt sure what would be done. But i got referred to this topic and at first i thought the references were enough to work with him.

Apparently not.

What ever happens the way hes handled this is very unprofessional and i dont recommend anyone work with him when he essentially has dumped over 5 projects Atleast with no communication at all.

As per usual paypal show no signs of wanting to refund my money because there criminals as for the purchase of the SEO even though officially i bought from a "business" as civicseo is stephens website/company they still wont refund me because apparently there not safe and secure and they dont protect the buyers. He hasnt been in contact with me what so ever or even offered me a refund which i find quite a piss take.

Im currently making a complaint about stephen with paypal and his account, i have also passed on this thread information.

 

Definitely been scammed on this one. He's been online on other sites so has probably done a runner.

I have his home address and phone number so may have to give him a ring..

 

aimlessless let me know if you need support, depending on the amount scammed we could probably sue with all parties scammed being a single party. Not sure, I'm not a lawyer :] But i'd imagine it's possible.

 

yeah i have his details aswell, ill support sueing him with you also, he even said he would refund me if i wanted a refund, i requested one on paypal and he obviously wanted to keep the money. He's taking the piss to be honest so we might aswell do what we can.

I do not have his house number but it would not surprise me if he has changed that.

its a shame im not from the u.s otherwise i'd just get it back myself with some compensation.

wow, i can't believe it, I always thought this guy gives the best advice and knows his stuff, can't trust anyone online nowadays

 

I contacted him through one of his other websites, contactlegalsettlements or something like that, i messaged him he said he would refund me half of my money which i thought was taking the piss, so i said i wanted all of it and he hasnt replied.

He does know his stuff, but hes a snake who cant be trusted. Ive already put things across the net saying hes a scammer so hopefully the clown wont get that much business now.

I paid him $100 3 months ago....I was supossed to get 5 hours of work on my site, but all I got is a report about my site.

It's not a huge loss on my side but I still worked hard for that money.

 

I lost $500 to that A-hole Stephen Sandecki. I want in on the law suit.
Hell, we should just call the Chicago police on him for interstate fraud.

$20 an hour? That sounds like scam by default.

 

It has been many, many months ago, but he also scammed me for $100. Luckily for me the amount was not that much and after a few weeks I just gave up.

It is really hard to determine if someone is a pro or a scam, definitely iTrader doesn't mean anything as I have also big problems with somebody who has 252 iTraders. Too bad that amount was $800 and I am still working on getting $500 back...

Too bad you (almost) cannot trust anybody anymore these days...
