PageRank and search engine rankings are not the same thing. Second, PageRank is only based on one thing - the number of links pointing back to your own pages. Whether or not those incoming links are from other pages on your own site, or on pages from other sites does not matter as long as the Googlebot can follow them. I wouldn't go so far as to say PageRank is worthless, since it does have value, especially among advertisers who use it as an initial indication of how popular a Web site is. These people (the advertisers) tend to think that (by and large) a Web site that has a (relatively) high PageRank that also tends to rank well for the primary keywords and phrases will also get (and retain) a lot of traffic, which in turn makes them desirable sites to advertise on. But that's where we start dealing with the marketing, rather than the technical, aspect of search engine optimization.
Hello, I high recommend increased traffic, increased your Serp, do not worry about Page Rank, if you have PR1 and you are getting 2000 unique visit a day and you have good conversion, why do you want PR? Try focus on your serp. Best, Jakomo
