I was not sure where to put this post so please move it to a different forum if need be, thanks.

We are about to finally launch my revised site this week and we are changing servers (from my server to the web design company's server) and I vaguely remember reading that could cause problems SEOwise. Does anyone here have any thoughts on this? Are there any real benefits to keeping my site on my server? I am guessing that we are up 99.9% of the time, but I could be wrong on that while the new server is guaranteed to be up 99.999% of the time. Thanks in advance.

If there's no interruption then it doesn't affect your rankings at all. Considering it's a revised version, your rankings will probably change anyway.

Yuo say it's moving to the design company's servers... Iw ouldn't move it there if most IBL's come from sites on that same server. If taht's the case you could be caught out by the host affiliation filter and all those links might become useless over time.

That would be your only worry but yuo can answer that yourself quickly./

good point tops. The only links coming from that server would be my sites internal links so I don't think that would affect me.
