Seo requirements for business directory

Hello,what SEO work would need to be done on a business directory,and would each link in the directory need to be optimized or would the SEO of the overall directory effect all links listed

No other seo work need to be done and each link in the business directory will optimize.

 

I optomize the directory and the listing in the directory automatically becomes optomized?

 

For SEO requirement Onpage should be properly done. there should be relevant content on the site and for off page do directory submissions, article submissions and forums postings on relevant dofollow sites.
