Hello Friends, As we all know that SEO is slow and continuous process and it takes time to achieve the results. But as per client perceptive he will definitely ask the question that, "I have paid the money so show me the results?" Every one wants to rank on first position in Search Engine. Though it is possible but it takes time and need some patience (specially from client side). So till the time we do not achieve the goal how can we assure the client that the SEO is proceeding in the right direction. Reporting is the way to explain the client but what all should be included in Reports is my question? Also some time there is no much difference in two reports or some time results are down. So at that time how to convince the client?
In my reports I include: The site the backlink is on, the date it was placed, the anchor text I also include changes in the rankings from last month to the current month for each keyword. Notice how I DO NOT include PageRank in here, because it's pointless
- Send the progress work report in xls. with every detail practices you are performing on site. - Avoid loosing interaction from client and don't come up suddenly in the end of month with your stack of reports, interact with him regularly, give him work update that what are you doing and what have you done and what would be the result of respective practices; give at-least a small update every 3rd day/ weekly through mails/phone. - Place solid proof like fortnightly/monthly compare rankings/ increased back links reports so he can monitor the change in ranking position. (if the work is in right way the report will speak up itself) - Never delay in your reporting. (this can p*ss most of client) However, there are bunch of impatient clients you can not help them, they need everything "ASAP", and later they loose everything ASAP .
In my report: - Alexa Rank - Number of back links in major search engines - Google traffic - Added monthly secured links - Keyword ranking This report i will provide to client. Please everyone share your report format. -
