    Yes, you should delete.

    I also received an infraction and was told in the email that the reason was:

    "Posted when it should have been a Private Message.

    Post in the thread to ask questions, give feedback or make a public bid in an auction.
    Use Private Messages to ask for payment information, request a review or to purchase. "    ​


    I have contacted a Moderator to ask what happens when an OP specifically requests that people post replies in their thread, but have not had a reply as of yet.
