Hello all! I just started entering the blog world. I'm very excited to start and I'm looking to expand the possibilities with it by hoping to gain traffic, make a great profit, to gain as many readers possible, and to enjoy connecting with many people. My site is: http://www.technolochic.com It is mainly a blog about technology happenings (example: Apple, Microsoft, software, photography, etc.). I'm trying to make things as interesting as possible for readers... but I'm not sure if I'm reaching that point... For some reason it feels like with the steps I have taken to create a blog, it feels like I'm missing something or not doing something right. It almost feels like I have to start over because it feels like I've made so many mistakes by trying to start out. Well anyways, I was wondering if some of you could help me with search engine optimization. I've tried to do some, but I don't think I'm doing it correctly. I've already: 1) Submitted to some directories 2) Put my posts under Digg, Twitter, Delicious, etc. 3) Added Adsense ads to my blog. So far I can't get anywhere. If some of you could look at my site, could you give me some recommendations to give me a great kick start? Thank you so much! I'm willing to learn as much as I possibly can.
Before you submit you need to get some content on it first, try again 20 post in and 2 months down the line. The only thing that is certain (other than death) is that at times you will fail.
always keep your site updated, do some link building to other site and you will see some traffic coming in, you just need to have patience to see the traffic.

Tag the crap outta your posts with keywords and add a tag cloud widget to your sidebar. Also a 250x250 adsense image in the middle of your post works wonders for ctr. Use onlywire for offsite promotion.
As long as you keep posting great content, and position the adsense ads appropriately, you can count on increasing visitor count and mindshare for your blog.
