SEO & Rankings with Uni.cc domains

Anyone had any luck with getting good rankings using .uni.cc domains? they are free sub domains of uni.cc. The root domain uni.cc from what i can make out has a great pr, ranks well, etc but for the life of me i cannot get the free subs to rank in google. For example i made a few sites with it a while back and despite having 100,000 pages listed in google it gets less than 200 uniques a day which is poor.

Normally subs on an aged domain with good pr will do well but is it because the free subs are being hosted with different nameservers to the orginal which is causing the problem, if so would it be any better pointing to my server via A Record instead?

    thanks,
    carl

I'd advise you to not go with UNI.CC since its a free extension, therefore don't do it.

.com's are seen to be preferred in the SE rankings, a bit.
