Hello Everyone I have some SEO questions. can anyone answer me for these questions? How many types of Site Map? A Site Map is for user or SE? From an analytic perspective, what is the difference between users from organic search results vs. a type-in/direct user? Why does Google rank Wikipedia for so many topics? Thanks in advance.
Html.sitemap ( user get info about your website structure) Xml.sitemap ( SE get info about your website structure ) So both are important.
We are using 2 type of sitemap 1st one is normal sitemap which will use by users and including everything like JS, images etc. (same like normal other pages) and 2nd one is XML in that page we just add our complete URL which will crawl by Google more fast compare to other pages. WikiPedia is big informative portal where you can find worlds best information and really user friendly and google always like well informative and user friendly website, that's why always concentrate when you are creating your website then keep in mind you are creating your website for user not for search engine, ( here, I'm not saying don't follow google's algo you have to follow that but make your website for user friendly) Organic visitors are best for your business point of view if you are getting your targeted visitors then you ll convert your lead 70 to 80% and compare to direct visitors your sell is drop and your bounce rate will be increase according to me direct visitors only increase your ranking in alexa, if you are using adsense and getting direct traffic then google ll banned your account....
Thanks Aryans for your useful answer but can you defile what is connection between sitemap and traffic ?
Hii, Yes you are right. There are two types of site maps. One is XML and other is HTML. Both are important but Google prefer XML first.
Well there is no connection between them site map is just for user information and XML sitemap is just for search engine and both are useful for our ranking prospective too, n when u get ranking then u ll get good organic traffic
@Pawan Kumar Singh There are also different type of XML Sitemaps you can create. In addition to just web URL, you can have images, videos, news etc In terms of connection between sitemaps and traffic, there isn't really a direct correlation. Generally speaking, XML sitemaps help search engines to crawl your site more efficiently. It doesn't have any effect for ranking. - check this Moz blog post for more information https://moz.com/blog/do-sitemaps-effect-crawlers HTML sitemaps help users better navigating the site. Search Engines will also utilize it but just because you have a HTML sitemap, doesn't mean your site will rank high.
