    Hello,

I would like to know if it's better to update a web page (new content) or delete the page and put in another?

what do you thinks about ?

    Thanks you

I would say, it's better to update than do delete it and than put the same content all over again.

new means you have to wait for indexing and everything for it. for existing you wont have those trouble.

Better to update it unless your trying to get rid of that page all together. Technically if your deleting the page and adding a new one with the same name thats an update.

Yup if it is similar content, then better to update it and wait for it to get indexed.
If you delete it and create another page, then make sure page title and page name (url) is all correct.

This is how you can seamlessly change / update your page. If you want to change the url for a same content or page, just create a new page and make the older to get redirected to the new one. In case if you delete a page which is already indexed by Google and the page is also available in the search results, deleting without redirection may lead to penalizing you site.

    All tbe Best

It's always better to update it, if you have something new then create a new page with new content and interlink a keyword towards your old content. That's good for SEO.

Like Bohra said, if the contents are not that different, just update the page. If the content is fairly different, create a new page.

Could do a 301 redirect in .htaccess. PR will be forwarded to the new page.

Better update, deleting will result in 404 error which adsense and google don't like.

Definitely, Updating a page is better than deleting that page

    Reasons,

    1. The page is already indexed, so google will update its content more quickly
    2. It helps you avoid the problem of virtual Duplicate content, although you are deleting the page on your site, but it don't get deleted from Google Indexes too quickly

I would recomend updating the old page rather than deleting it and starting again, you can delete all the old content on the page and replace it with new content but I would keep the old page name

I don't think it matters. If you update the page with new content, new meta tags, etc. then google will see it as the new page. If you delete the page and add a new page then Google will also see it as a new page. However, if you plan on keeping the old content on the current page AND adding a new page then Google will see 2 pages (which is better than 1).
