    Can you be more specific?

Are you asking if directory path names are more relevant than filenames for reinforcing keywords?

Or are you using singular (keyword) vs plural (keywords) intentionally as your question?

That would depend on whether you want the page to rank for the singular or plural version of the keyword. There is no one rule fits all answer to your question.

There are sometimes HUGE differences in the search frequency, competitiveness, etc. of the singular and plural versions. All of these would need to be evaluated to determine which is the best word to target.

there will not big difference whether you go for keyword or keyword.html.... but i prefer only keyword in url because if i change the technology of my website than it will affect the url name...like keyword.aspx to keyword.php....

if you use an editor to build your pages, then it would include the whole filename which will be filename.html or so. you need to manually remove the .html part or code the links manually. if you can use just the keyword without the use of html, then do so it it might give to slightly better benefit but that would hardly be a visible benefit.

As SEOjig stated, it's not going to make or break you either way. Keywords in the URL are a VERY minor factor on your overall ranking for a particular keyword. Google is good at associating the singular and plural forms of words with one another, though they do see them as different.

At the point where you're worrying about whether to name a page keywords.html or keyword.html, I would hope you've already optimized perfectly the <title>, <h1>, <h2>,..., content of the page, link text used for every link on your site, etc. BEFORE worrying about this type of super-fine tuning of your site.

there is no difference but when you make the actual long tail html file it is important to have keywords in there that you are trying to rank high for.

    Example:
You want to rank high for "making money online"
    yourwebsite.com/make_money_online.html

that is a good technique that gets you ready to build your SEO

Google-Enabled Attribute Importance... I'm sorry, but I doubt the percentages here are correct. Google does not release this information to the public. They guard this like Kentucky Fried Chicken guards their "original recipe" formula. It's their bread and butter... This is some SEO professional's (toung in cheek) estimation of what THEY think Google is looking at and how much they are being weighted. I've seen many such estimations, each with different percentages, each with claims that THEY know how much Google is weighing each ranking factor... ALL of which are wrong.

Google has more than 200 different factors they are considering when they rank a URL for particular keyword phrase that add up to be as you put it, the "Total algorithm score: 100%"... You have listed only 12 or so. These are "rules of thumb" created by SEOs... but not definitive... only guesses. Only Google knows as their algo changes daily.

Interesting breakdown of the Google algorithm suhaana.
Just curious, is this just speculation, or has it been confirmed by any data?
