    Hello Webmasters....

    I have a question...

If my website is mysite.com and I have a subdomine which is site.mysite.com/bog

Do I need to submit site.mysite.com/blog to Google webmaster tool for indexing or site.mysite.com/blog will be indexed automatically because the main domain already indexed.?

I would submit it anyways It can't hurt.

I would also point some backlinks at site.mysite.com/blog so Google can follow those links and find your site.

    Hope that helps?

    1. domain.com and domain.com/blog is 2 part , not same about anything, then you should submit all of them
    2. build some backlink from domain.com to domain.com/blog and back

use subdomain instead of domain dir.

for example, blog.ursite.com is better than ursite.com/blog

try google or yahoo about it, it's very useful in SEO because your word blog will be categorized as your primary key word for that particular site.

submitting twice is fine, but if you have internal links on main site, It is not really required, my best suggestion is to use sitemap in google webmasters, msn webmasters and yahoo siteexplorer

    hope that helps

    @realbigsource

No, not required. Just try to get some back links for that blog and it'll be fine.

Just submit both, althought I believe that sooner or later it will get indexed automatically, but if you submit it then the index should be faster.

I dont think that it is important to submit both. If your sub domain page is linked with your home page than your sub domain page will be automatically index sooner or latter.

You don't need to submit anything to google, yahoo ect,
any search engine will find it automatically so long as there are links pointing to it

You're talking about Google sitemaps, right? Google treats them as different websites so I would recommend submitting both in your Google Webmaster account

If you're just talking about submitting your website to get indexed for Google's search result, you don't have to submit it, just build quality links to the site.
