Quick question here related to SEO that I have read different opinions on and I want to clear it up. If you have a primary site selling snowboards... and then sub-categories with the different types of snowboards (k2, burton, sims) example: primarysnowboardsite.com/k2-snowboards-for-sale would be an example of the destination URL for one of your sub-categories selling k2 snowboards then if you go and buy a BRAND NEW (no traffic, no backlinks, etc.) keyword rich domain name RELATED to one of you sub-categories (such as k2, burton, or sims snowboards) example: k2snowboardsforsale.com and then 301 redirect k2snowboardsforsale.com to your primarysnowboardsite.com/k2-snowboards-for-sale URL, does it help you rank for your keywords? In this example the keywords im referring to are, "k2 snowboards for sale" ALSO would you build the backlinks for k2snowboardsforsale.com or would you build the backlinks for primarysnowboardsite.com/k2-snowboards-for-sale
You got a point Twisted756, This is a good guide for beginners And even me need this information. Thank you so much for posting this one. Your the best
I dont think that will do. What will do is build k2snowboardsforsale.com, fill it with content and have link to your main blog.
Yes, I have heard this strategy discussed many times before, I am very curious to hear if having those keywords in the domain and then 301 redirecting to your primary site gave you any boost. Mainly because I want to focus on the content on my solely on my primary site. Also, can anyone clarify which URL to build backlinks for if in fact it does give you a boost in rankings?
