So as we know things are changing at quite a rapid pace, even for the SEO industry. But as ever, quality prevails. Get the basics of a quality web site right and you are more than half way to a successfull SEO campaign. So, with that in mind I thought I would start a list of quality indicators and factors that we can discuss, add to and prioritize. 1) Low Bounce Rate 2) Low Download Time 3) No 404 errors 4) Valid Compliant Code / Correct Rendering - no quirks mode (think search engine robots are now headless browsers not the old V2 text only browsers a lot of people still think of them as) 5) Social Shares and Interaction (becoming ever more significant) 6) Good content semantics 7) Good navigation structure and site content organization / categorization 8) Good internal linking 9) Quality of sites that you link to 10) User retnetion & Stickieness of site (covers multiple dynamics here) Please feel free to add to the list and share your thoughts.
That's very well discussion you have started here. All 10 factors you have included here are correct, although there are still some factors left, but they would be covering under some of above factors. Some more factors I would like to add here which are: 11. Meta Tags Placement. 12. Low Java Script uses on site. 13. Alternate Tags placement. 14. Domain relation with site's content. 15. Robots.txt file to prevent indexes of unwanted pages. 16. Site map placement with regular crawling rate. and many more. Major search engine such as Google has more than 200 factors for evaluating a site's SERP's.
