I have a site which is about 1 years old and receiving little traffic daily from all major search engines and from some directories and I found that a link for my site is placed on a lot of sites. But when I check on google about link:mysite , its replies nothing. I dont understand why ?. As my sites link are placed on a lot of sites. why google repling no links. and when I search on google mysite.com this search replies hunders of sites but I dont have still any page rank. Plz make to some suggestion for SEO. Thanks in Advance.
If you could post the URL or PM it to me, we/I could have a look at it and tell you better. Your site's PR may increase during the next PR update. Not all links increase the chances of PR being increased greatly; so just concentrate on getting links from high ranked related websites. Regards, Nithanth
Regarding link:mysite.com on yahoo and msn, yahoo shows about 70 results and msn shows about 40 results. and if I search on google with mysite.com google shows about 1000 results. But no result on google with link:mysite.com and still dont have any pr.
First of all, what is the URL of your site? I hope I can check it. Second, Well some of the backlinks can be included in yahoo's and msn's backlinks in no time. Expect that you could have lower backlinks in Google because IMO, Google is very slow (or lazy) to get all the backlinks of your website so continue building links and you will get it but it would take time to obtain some.
Lack of links when using link:yousite on Google is not really somethng to be worried about. they will start trickling in. However Google does know about your links even if they don't show them. Lack or results in the serps is likly to have more to do with page content and other factors, once again without URL it is hard to help
First of all, the site is about 1 year old, so it's high time for Google to show at least some backlinks... On the other hand, 70 results/yahoo and 40/msn is too few... It may sound meaningful, but the best suggestion IMO would be: "keep working!" (or I'd better say "START working on building backlinks" )
