Hi folks, I'm currently developing a big community website about travelling which will, when it starts, have around 100 pages and with every user that signs up approx at least 3-5 more. What I've done sofar in regards to SEO is to register the domain and put some simple pages online describing the content that will appear in each section later on. Of course these temporary pages have the same structure directory structure that the "real" website will have later on. For instance index.php forums/index.php blogs/index.php .... I've read a few times that SEs don't like to see a website "explode" in size over a few short time period because it looks unnatural. So my question is: how can I prepare my domain/my site before the launch (about 2 months away) so that when it starts I'll get off to a good start with Google, Yahoo and co?
content is definitely there.. besides that do name in your sub-domains based on keywords. Also choose your keywords very carefully based on your competitors who are ranking well in search engines on the related relevant keywords...
The main thing you need to do is get a lot of natural links in a short time. Make your site interesting so that thousands of bloggers will link to it. Don't submit to hundreds of directories. Submit to 5 of the most expensive paid ones (yahoo, botw, aviva, alive etc) instead. Don't buy sitewide links.
just prepare full sites off line. and create unique content for all the pages.and optimize each page according to your targeted keywords.each page must have unique title and meta tags. it is advisable to upload few pages first and get them index by search engines.and add another pages periodically.
